Wi-Fi connection procedure for IoT devices
After having the IoT device ready at hand, you can connect to Wi-Fi with this application by following the steps below.
■STEP1
Connect your smartphone to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If the connection is successful, the words “2.4GHz” will appear on a green background in the “Wi-Fi frequency you are connected to” at the top of the application.
In many cases, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi has a symbol such as “_g” or “_2” at the end of the SSID. Please use the encryption key (password) corresponding to this SSID to connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
■STEP2
Enter the encryption key (password) of the Wi-Fi to which the smartphone is already connected to the encryption key (password) of this application.
■STEP3
Connect the USB cable to the Shirushi IoT product and power it on. When the power supply is completed, the red LED on the side of the device will light up to request Wi-Fi information.
(If there are multiple IoT products for which Wi-Fi settings are to be made, enter the number of devices in the number of devices to be set in this application.
■STEP4
Clicking the “Start Configuration” button on this application will start the Wi-Fi configuration of the IoT product.
■STEP5
When Wi-Fi setup is started, the real-time setup status is displayed. At this time, when the Wi-Fi setting on the IoT product side is completed, it is reflected in this application and you can check how many units are currently set up.
■STEP6
Wi-Fi configuration stops when the specified number of configuration devices are completed or after a certain period of time has elapsed.
Precautions
- Please turn on location information when using the application.
- There is a limit to the number of router sessions, so please check the number of router sessions you are using before use.
- The Wi-Fi frequency “5GHz” cannot be used, so please make sure that the Wi-Fi frequency is “2.4GHz” before use.
